Norwegian Numo soars past 1,5 million registered users.
Numo’s application portfolio continues to grow beyond 1,5 million registered users.

Numo’s SMS Preview is one of the most downloaded mobile applications on Ovi Store by Nokia and continues to grow beyond 1 million downloads.

Oslo, Norway – April 15, 2010. Numo, an up and coming mobile utilities application developer, joins the ranks of several popular developers who have surpass the 1 million download mark on Ovi Store by Nokia.

A year ago we won Europe’s Most Innovative Consumer Application with Numo Finder, this year we reached over 1 Million active SMS Preview users and it continues to grow.

With two new innovations in the oven cooking up for a public spring launch (shhsh we have been Beta testing with some big partners.) we plan on trying to win again next year.

So with the move to the new office (photos coming soon) it has been a whirlwind of activity. Last week we got some great news from Nokia, not only are we one of the most popular downloaded application on OVI, SMS Preview is a OVI Top App of 2009! It is a huge honor to be considerd along the lines of applications like Nimbuzz and Facebook. Check out the other winners and try their applications here.

We are working hard on updating SMS Preview to offer even better functionality and easier setup, so stay tuned!

With the holiday season things winded down here at the Numo offices, but now that is 2010 look out! A lot of new products and improvements are scheduled for the next few months as well you will see us a lot more active online and especially on the mobile.

Numo SMS Preview has hit record figures reaching over 600 000 registered users after just two months. At the Forum Nokia Developer Conference India in Bangalore, SMS Preview was listed as the most downloaded app from Ovi Store India.

Wow! It has been a whirlwind of activity and planning but we finally have launched the company officially now as Numo Solutions! (Numo for short)

There is a lot more to the whole rebranding thing as we discovered along the way then simply changing names and logos, it forces you to reevaluate your positioning, what you stand for and what’s important. Moving forward with Mobile Nordic to where we wanted to be was just not possible as we have big global ambitions and the name/products were too geographically linked. Also, another exciting part about the rebranding under one identity was it allowed us now to have a BLOG, to have a twitter account, and to be more active on web and mobile social spaces. Plus we now have a very comprehensive customer service process so we are able to support our users and have a direct feedback line to making our products even better!

So this is the first of many blog posts to come, we are on the eve of D-Day before we launch into a new brand, I have slept very little combined with the fact the sun has gone into protective custody in Norway, however we are getting closer and closer to getting ready. With the new clients fully tested and links/bugs being worked out on the website I am really looking forward to getting it up. Over the next few days as things transition over we hope you will bear with us as we go through these growing pains of moving into being a more global application developer. Even more exciting is loading the new application into the various app stores just in time for the holiday season. Ok back to work but hopefully will wake up tomorrow as the new Numo Solutions!
